About Us

City Therapy is dedicated to being part of the solution for the well-being of individuals, communities, and humanity at large, with a focus on “helping people help themselves.”

Established in 2014 by Shaunna Impey and Anne Devlin, City Therapy was envisioned as a center providing evidence-based quality treatments, upholding the highest professional standards for our clients.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between public and private mental health services by minimizing waiting times and offering real-time psychotherapy and psychological interventions, precisely when and where they are needed.

We aspire to create an inclusive center that celebrates diversity in our team of therapists, their specialties, and the clients we serve. Our team members offer services in various languages, including Romanian, Italian, Spanish, and Croatian. We are proud to have therapists who work with the LGBTQ+ community and collaborate with organizations supporting refugees.

Get to know the founders of City Therapy:

Shaunna Impey: “My aim is to ensure that every person accessing our service receives respect and quality psychotherapeutic interventions tailored to meet their needs.”

With over 10 years of experience in clinical private practices, HSE/public clinics, and voluntary services, Shaunna previously served as the Deputy Social Work Manager for a large teaching hospital for 12 years. Her hands-on experience and knowledge of psychotherapy and the public health system have played a crucial role in establishing City Therapy as a center with high standards, providing value for money.

Anne Devlin: “My aim is to meet individuals where they are at in their experiences, creating a truly client-led experience, working at the client’s pace with interventions tailored to their truth, tolerance, and current reality.”

Beginning her career in the fitness industry, Anne co-owned a successful Personal Fitness Training business for over 10 years. Later, she worked in a not-for-profit organization teaching unemployed early school leavers, gaining insights into the importance of addressing barriers to education and mental health support. Anne’s work as a psychotherapist focuses on childhood trauma, gender identity, and utilizing the body for Sensorimotor work to integrate suffering.

City Therapy is not just a center for psychotherapy but a beacon for lasting well-being, helping individuals understand themselves better and move forward in their lives.
