The Genesis: 1980’s

In the backdrop of Ireland’s lush landscapes, Kieran and Bridget Finane embarked on a journey to fulfill a need they identified in the market – the absence of high-quality, Irish-made sofas and chairs. With a keen eye for detail and a dedication to their craft, they set up Finline Furniture, establishing their factory in the picturesque village of Emo. From the outset, their mission was clear: to create exquisite, handcrafted furniture that would stand the test of time.

Expansion and Innovation: 1990’s

As Finline Furniture gained traction in the Irish market, the brand ventured into new territories, expanding into the UK and beyond with the introduction of the ‘Heritage House’ brand. This era marked a period of growth and innovation for Finline, as it began exporting its signature pieces to destinations as far-reaching as the Middle East. Collaborations with prestigious hotels and resorts further solidified Finline’s reputation for quality and craftsmanship on a global scale.

Passing the Torch: 2000’s

In the new millennium, Finline Furniture transitioned into a family-owned and operated business, with Kieran and Bridget’s sons, Ciaran and Kilian, joining the fold. Their arrival heralded a new chapter for Finline, characterized by innovation and adaptability. In response to economic challenges, Finline pivoted its business model, opening its first showroom in Emo in 2012, followed by additional stores in Dublin, Cork, and Galway in the ensuing years.
