About the Founders

Flor McCarthy

Flor McCarthy is a distinguished solicitor and an award-winning author with over two decades of experience in private practice. As the managing partner at McCarthy + Co. LLP, Flor has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the legal field. He is also the founder and director of EU Business Partners, providing top-tier GDPR Article 27 representation in the EU for non-EU businesses. Flor’s passion for supporting his peers led him to co-found Solicitors’ Growth, a platform designed to help solicitors overcome the challenges of private practice and thrive in their careers. His book, The Solicitor’s Guide to Marketing, is a leading resource in legal marketing and has earned him recognition among his peers. Flor also serves on the exclusive Council of the Law Society of Ireland and is a member of the Data Protection and IP Committee.

Martin Lawlor

With over 35 years in private practice, Martin Lawlor brings a wealth of experience and leadership to Solicitors’ Growth. As the managing partner of Coghlan Kelly Solicitors, Martin has worn many hats throughout his career, including chairing the Law Society’s Money Laundering Reporting Committee and serving as the former chair of the Regulation of Practice Committee. Martin has been a council member of the Law Society of Ireland for over 12 years and has been actively involved in various local committees. His dedication to the legal profession extends to his role as director of elections for Fine Gael since 2007. Alongside Flor McCarthy, Martin co-founded Solicitors’ Growth, with the goal of providing a comprehensive CPD solution through monthly webinars, while also fostering a supportive community for solicitors to connect, learn, and grow together.
