For over five decades, the name Stephen Miller has been a synonymous presence in the packaging industry in Ireland, and the development of the Vorteck brand reflects the culmination of extensive experience in this field.
The Managing Director, Stephen Miller, hails from a family deeply rooted in the packaging sector. With a great-grandfather who set the tone with a sales background, the original packaging enterprise, G.B. Miller & Son Ltd, was established in the late 1930s by Stephen’s grandfather, George, based in Dublin.
In the 1960s, George’s son Geoffrey assumed control of the business, adopting a model focused on acting as an agent for renowned brands such as Exxon Mobil, WR Grace, British Rayophane, Montedison, and Lexan. During his tenure, Geoffrey aimed to expand the company while emphasizing knowledge and trust. Stephen, Geoffrey’s son, joined the family business after completing his college education.
In the early eighties, G.B. Miller & Son Ltd was acquired by Axzo Nobel, a prominent Norwegian multinational.
In 1995, Stephen Miller Ltd was established, followed by the formation of Stephen Miller Packaging Ltd in 2005. This restructuring allowed the business to separate into hardware/machinery and adhesives/consumables.
